ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS THE OILS YOU NEED

HOW DO ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS SUPPORT HEALTH

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are the saturated fatty acids that the body does not make on its own but needs in order to maintain good health. We can only obtain EFAs from our diet.

TWO TYPES OF EFAs

There are two types of EFAs: Omega-3 and Omega-6. EFAs are essential for regulating the cells processes, such as regulating enzymes, cell signals, expression of your genes, and oxidation or the breakdown of fats to usable substances.

They help to bring nutrients into your cells such as sugar, vitamins, and minerals. They produce the protective layer around the cells called a membrane, which regulates the items that are absorbed into the cell. One of the most important uses of EFAs in the body is their use in hormone production.

Hormones act as messengers of important information, made mostly of EFAs, they are responsible for regulating not only the female cycle, but anti-inflammatory hormones as well to name a few important functions.

WHAT ARE THE BEST SOURCES OF EFAs

The best food sources include fish and raw nuts. But if you do not eat enough of these then the best alternative is to supplement your diet with Tuna Omega-3 oil, Black Currant Seed Oil, or Flax seed oil. Since some people have trouble converting Flax seed oil into usable EFAs. We suggest a combination of both fish and vegetable oils to get the most EFAs possible.

EFAs Everyday Hero’s

EFAs have been shown to help with cardiovascular disease, PMS, joint and bone pain. Many studies have proven the effectiveness of supplementing your diet with these excellent oils.

Tuna Omega-3 Oil supports optimal brain and eye development in newborns and children. It helps children with emotional growth and response. In adults it helps to maintain healthy brain and memory function and supports healthy mood. It supports a healthy inflammatory response as well as healthy immune and joint function.

Black Currant Seed Oil contains Omega-6 oils which helps the body convert to a hormone substance called prostaglandin. This hormone like substance helps to maintain healthy blood flow, breakdown of fats and body fluid balance. Black Currant Oil maintains healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels which supports healthy arteries.
